The potential and prospect of the development of farm tourism in Łosice county

Summary/Abstract: Łosice district is located in the eastern part of Mazowieckie province. On its area is located several nature reserves and sites of natural value, it is a refuge for many rare species of plants and animals. The study involved 16 agritourist farms located in the district of Łosice. They were selected in a targeted manner, and the selection criterion was running a farm tourism in the county. The source material was collected by direct interview, and was used as a tool for a questionnaire survey. An additional source of information was the ODR Łosice and Siedlce. All the tested farms operated throughout the year. Owners usually offer full-board, with the option to buy the individual meals. In most farms can buy products from our own production. Each farm is an opportunity to talk with at least one foreign language. Only two units were benefited from EU funds for the development of agritourist activity.
