Summary/Abstract: Football fan stereotype as a vulgar fool, barbarian, hooligan, savage and vandal still exists in the public consciousness. This article provides a typology of participants in sporting events and their standards. It shows the areas of activity of football fans associations and the results of their research. The subject of the research process was the method of expressing negative emotions by fans, their social attitudes and the nature of interactions with significant people and strangers. Studies were diagnostic. The selected group – the football fans of Stomil Olsztyn actively participating in sports spectacles was intentionally covered by the study. Those fans were characterized by the age between eighteen to twenty years. The study was based on observation techniques and categorical survey using a questionnaire.
