Summary/Abstract: The article is the extension of the concept of audiation included in Edwin E. Gordon’s theory of music learning. The presented excerpt of research results relates to the problems of music teachers’ perception on the role of social surrounding in a child’s music education in the context of audiation development. There has been used a quality method of episodic interview in Uwe Flick’s concept to get acquainted with the teachers’ narrative which could certify their personal interpretations of surrounding phenomenon of the development of music reflection being understood in the theory of music learning as audiation.
