Summary/Abstract: This article covers the issue of morphological variance of the names of inhabitants from the St. John’s parish in Warsaw. All the material has been excerpted from the parish register and it covers the years of 1826-1867; the analysis itself concerns the surnames of children’s fathers. The specific morphological types of the surnames recorded in the material are explained, suffix change considering the separated morphological types is analyzed as well as double surnames (often suggested by {vel}) are described.
