Features and management of investment risk in a company

Summary/Abstract: The management of risk in the Bulgarien companies is not yet porposefully developed; the established systems for its management are not adapted in the majority of the economic structures. The necessity of studying the principles of the so-called “risk management” and their use in practice can be justified by many objective and subjective factors, such as: insufficient coverage of the risk in the specialied scientific and popular literature; ignoring it, as a whole, because of not knowing it well; lack of sufficient eperience in the representatives of the eecutive bodies for management in terms of risk; its disregarding in the legislation, etc. The fact that the risk is sometimes an original stimulus for the efficient use of the company capital could be added as an argument of the topicality of the problem related to the management of risk. In this contet, the article presents the specifics of the risk in company investment activities and focuses on the goal when managing the investment risk – preventive maintenance of the conditions under which an investment project is implemented and non-admission to realie a risk situation
