Summary/Abstract: The current study was carried out to investigate self-efficacy beliefs of preservice preschool education teachers. The study group of the research is comprised of 141 students studying preschool teaching at faculty of education of a private university in Cyprus during 2015-2016 academic years. Relational screening model one of the screening models that helps the current situation be revealed was used in the research. The data collection tools used in the research are “General Information Form” to collect general data related to students and “Preschool Teachers’ Multi-Dimensional Self-Efficacy Beliefs Scale” developed by Tepe (2011) to evaluate students’ self-efficacy beliefs. Standard deviation and average values of students’ self-efficacy beliefs were included in the research to explain which level students’ self-efficacy beliefs were. Kruskal Wallis H-Test was used to detect whether there is difference between the class levels of self-efficacy beliefs of students. At the end of the study, it was found that general mean score of the self-efficacy beliefs of candidate teachers was 3.37 and the best self-efficacy field they had in the sub-dimension of the scale for self-efficacy beliefs was the sub-dimension of arranging the learning environment with a mean score of 3.43 and the lowest one was the sub-dimension of family involvement with a mean score of 3.26. In addition, upon the evaluation of the self-efficacy belief scores of the teachers candidates having a preschool education in terms of grade level variable, a statistically significant difference was found in the whole scale and in all sub-dimensions.
