Summary/Abstract: The authors present a bronze Hallstatt fibula, found in 2005 on south terraces of Tipia Ormenisului, where the Dacian housing (habitat) was an important settlement from the beginning of the first Iron Age. After analysis of printed decorations on the unexposed part of fibula (as seen while being worn), the authors believe that it represents a very stylized woman’s body, giving it more likely, The Great Goddess, from the pantheon of the ancient Trace, attested on the present territory of Romania by thousands of clay figurines from the neo-eneolitic. The discovery of this group of artefacts usually in large warehouse inventories of bronze objects leads the authors to believe that it was, first, the patron goddess of fertility-fecundity, hunters etc., shielding of the goods producing social class. Her essential attributes corresponded to those of the Greek pantheon of Artemis. With some intermittences, the goddess is attested by the archaeological record up to the Roman conquest of Dacia.
