Summary/Abstract: The article describes the possibilities of using the Google Maps web mapping along with the Street View service and the Google Earth Virtual Globe in science and geography education, including education for sustainable development. The resources that can be accessed through Google Earth, published as Global Awareness and Ocean folders, are evaluated.
