Summary/Abstract: In the tourism market the consumer behavior is in the centre of attention. The purpose of this article is the synthetic presentation of the role of place of origin in shaping the consumer behavior on the tourism market. The issue is based on the tourist attitudes of Majorcans. The paper used a method of study of literature and method of deduction, while in the empirical part – the practical research in the form of questionnaires, and observations. The article testifies to the role of place of origin in shaping the Majorcans behavior in tourism with the reference to frequency of travel, travel themes. The contents seem to be valuable given the specific group of tourists and the contemporary consumer-oriented companies. Knowledge of the factors is very important in the process of analysis of consumer behavior
