Summary/Abstract: The article states the text value of the author modality in S. Esenin’s poetic texts as a meansof expression of S. Esenin’s axiological paradigm, the most important text-forming component ofwhich is love to motherland; determines the plane of content and the plane of expression of thegiven axiological category; reveals the specifics of Esenin’s awareness of the motherland andanalyzes the most frequent means of its realization in the poet’s lyric texts, including colournominatorsand explicators of situational modality.
