Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on the imagological analysis of Mykhaylo Kotsubynskyi’s creative work. Russian ethnic artistic images of a famous Ukrainian impressionist have been analyzed in the context of a social-political situation in Ukraine at the turn of the XIX th– XXth сenturies.
