CATECHETICAL FORMATION OF CONSCIENCE IN THE CONDITIONS OF THE SECULARIZATION OF MORALITY

Summary/Abstract: Education of conscience occupies a central place in moral education. It is not now an easy task, among other things, due to strong today, pointing out the process of secularization of morality, thus emancipating the views, attitudes, moral behavior from the infl uence of religion, especially from the religious justifi cations type. Modern man in the autonomy of conscience, individualized assessments and reaching for their moral choices wants to be seen as a personal way to unfettered freedom. It happens that a person simply does not want to be brought up. One of the basic resources of the Church in its educational ministry is catechesis. The author looks at the fi rst phenomenon of conscience, and his ties to the truth and freedom (point 1), then the phenomenon of secularization of morality in Polish conditions (point 2), and fi nally catechesis, in the course of which is to pursue the formation of conscience (point 3). Thus, the analysis is carried out in various conventions of research: successively in the ethical, sociological and catechetical.
