Summary/Abstract: European Years have been considered a solution to the studies which framed Europeanization as a threat. The European Year of Volunteering (EYV) is a means of building a community at a macro and micro-level. The European community that this paper focuses on does not refer to the official entity formed by a contract between the member states, it rather pinpoints diverse discursive embodiments of a united Europe. The national community will be interpreted in terms of the virtual community created through the blog posts of the project Let’s Do It, Romania! in 2011.
