The process of integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina into the European Union has been marked by numerous contradictions, wherefore, the complete political disharmony between political actors performed on an ethnic basis in terms of establishing a functioning state, and in terms of their commitment to the process of Europeanization of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is present even 15 years after the Dayton Peace Agreement. At the same time, the placing of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Euro-Atlantic institutions (EU and NATO) is determined by the engagement of the international community, under the powers deriving from the Dayton Peace Agreement. The paper examines the extent to which political pluralization in Bosnia and Herzegovina based on ethnic, collectivist interests on the one hand, and the lack of coherent international strategy, on the other hand, affects the delays in implementing social reforms in the course of the integration process of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the European Union.
