Summary/Abstract: Koseła discusses the theory of secularization in Poland using the studies on the decisions of individuals. An action is secular in nature when the individual disregards God’s will. Given such a definition of secularization, the studies show that it is most evident in the sexual activity of Poles. On the other hand, where it comes to abortion, more and more Poles take God’s will into consideration (in February 1992, 47% of Poles accepted abortion for a woman in financial difficulties, compared with only 10% in September 2007). 79% of Poles identified themselves as believing in God in 2007, which belies the imminence of the “secularization paradigm”.
