Summary/Abstract: Referring to the geo-poetic tools, the article follows narration of crime fiction authors related to Czestochowa and relationship between them and the surrounding neighborhood. Therefore a subjective picture of the city emerges, which is not only a story background but most of all a significant space to figure out the motivation of the characters, intentions behind activities and occurring circumstances. The picture reflects the social and moral problems of residents as well as existential matters which lead to the lack of the center, anthropological place distrust, the dominance of non-places, stifling mentality and the house - "socket" break down. These crime fiction novels correspond to a sense of loneliness, despair, discouragement and depression. Thus the description of space considered as strictly topographical and those marked by universal and subjective cultural codes helps to identify the ethical form of entity explaining it in the context of real and imaginary places.
