Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to determine the factors which affect profitability of deposit banks operating in Turkey for the period from January 2003 to June 2012. In this context the macroeconomic and bank specific factors affecting profitability of the deposit banks is tested by applying multiple linear regression analysis. According to the results return on assets and return on equity is mostly affected positively by Non- interest revenues/Total Assets and Equity/Total Assets. On the other hand it is concluded that a change in interest rates on deposits has a negative effect on return on asset.
