Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study is to present the problems of asymmetric information on the aspect of structure formation of the modern tourism market. The paper has a theoretical-conceptual character and solutions are presented as a model. The author identified the main areas of the tourism market in which are observed problems of asymmetric information. The author had interpreted processes of information asymmetry with respect to the transactional area. The study may provide a basis for detailed empirical research in the analysis of information asymmetry on the tourist market. A significant part of their contents has an original character. In this perspective, the issue was not presented in scientific studies.
