Summary/Abstract: The aim of the present study is to investigate the impact of the emotional labor on employees’ task and contextual performances. For this aim, a research based on relational screening method was conducted on 314 participants working in the service sector. The data gained from the study were analyzed using descriptive statistics (such as mean, standard deviation), correlation and regression analyses. According to results of the study, statistically significant relationships were found between the dimensions of emotional labor and the dimensions of job performance. In addition, it was found that task and contextual performance decreasing as surface acting was increasing. Additionally task and contextual performances increasing as deep acting and genuine emotions were increasing. The results obtained from the analysis are consistent with the literature.
