Summary/Abstract: The Romanian communities inherited a lot of customs and traditions from the previous generations. These customs are different from the old ones, because they have changed and adapted in time, according to the ethnic specific of different groups of population. Aside from the cultural differences between world’s nations, other distinctions appear within each culture and therefore the folklore expresses itself on different levels, according to people, places, customs and traditions. After years of confusion, Romania tries to go back to its folk roots in its attempt to restore the authentic artistic beauty. The only way to succeed in this is to keep the folklore in a clean frame, where artistic forms, even if modern, should keep the essence of artistic phenomenon, the traditional line of the customs and of the folk interests.
