Traditional printed dictionaries in language teaching at the university level

Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on the possibility of using traditional printed dictionaries in foreign language teaching at the university level. The aim of the article is, on the one hand, to present the academic reality in the context of the active use of dictionaries in a foreign language classroom; on the other hand, to prove that this type of dictionaries has the right to exist at universities. The rest of the article is devoted to the presentation of different types of activities involving traditional dictionaries during German language classes. These activities can be used at different levels of language education at universities.
