Summary/Abstract: The following text presents an attempt at showing factors which differ students’ sense of self-effectiveness in their careers. In the article it is presented the sense of self-effectiveness and its importance for the process of planning and development in the human being’s professional career. In order to recognize the relationship between the students’ sense of self-effectiveness in their careers (including confidence in general, own, life and professional competence, control of occurrences, competence of range in coordination of the different life spheres) and selected specific variability the author of this article has carried out the researches among the students from the state and public universities. This work presents their results which have showed that in various degree the variability like gender, mother’s education, estimate of economical situation in own family which was made by respondents, work which is simultaneous with studies and also the kind of professional experience differ students’ sense of self-effectiveness in their careers and its individual aspects. However, the factors like the results in studying which testing students achieve, the kind of secondary schools they have graduated from, the father’s education, the place where they live in do not differ the results, which the respondents achieve, in essential and statistical way.
