Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to present how the project method is applied in intercultural education ofsign language as a foreign language. The problem method is suggested to be used in educationwhere expository teaching dominated. I used this method in teaching hearing students in the courseon „The Basics of sign language”. For those students it was the first encounter with the languagewhich for Deaf people was fundamental in their culture formation. Therefore if was necessery toapply the fundations of intercultural education in the course.
