Summary/Abstract: The Russian military potency in the Kaliningrad Oblast and it's possibilities of influence on the geopolitical situation in the region. The actual role of the Kaliningrad District in the regional security system has been presented in the article. On the background of the Russian Federation Military Forces strength the author analyses the military potency located in the Kaliningrad District. Considering the newest history the author presents the determinants which influence on the actual state of the Russian Armed Forces and tries to characterize the activities of this state undertaken to shape the geopolitical situation in the region.
