Summary/Abstract: In his theory of synchronism published in the mid 20s, E. Lovinescu actually acknowledges that the entire inter-war ideological debate is an accurate reverberation of the cultural clashes in Western Europe. The phenomenon proves once again that in that specific period of time, Romania was tightly connected to the general flow of European ideas. Moreover, Lovinescu's theory itself corroborates the synchronism uttered in the principle, the construct and the theses that he was asseverating
