Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to diagnose the presence of contemporary Russian prose in Poland.The starting point for the discussion is related to articles depicting present tendencies and thedirections the latest Russian literature heads for. On the basis of an overview of Polish translationsof texts authored by Russian writers it may be concluded that Polish readers have an opportunity tofollow the most contemporary trends in the development of Russian literature.
