Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the history of repressive actions of political regimes in Odessa towards the scientific intelligentsia of the Jews in the first half of the XXth century. A wide array of historical sources and academic literature is used. An analysis for causes and merits of the repressions towards the representatives of the traditional Jewish intellectual community was performed. Short biographical data of victims of shootings, expulsions, deportations, and convictions is mentioned.
