Summary/Abstract: In this paper the usefulness of the following approximated methods of estimating logistic function parameters was examined: Hotelling’s, Tintner’s, Mucha’s, three sums method and the modified Hotelling’s method. As examples, some home appliances popular in Poland were considered: mobile phones, washing machines, refrigerators and cars – data for years 2000–2014. On the basis of goodness-of-fit measures with relation to the logistic function and the empirical data (correlation method, changeability coefficient), evaluations of particular method results were conducted.
