Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the considerations undertaken in the article is to show the needs and directions of reconstruction of selected elements of the action model of food services suppliers with respect to the consumers’ expectations. The material has pointed out the growing share of the catering services in the general system of the organizing the feeding of Polish society. The basic differentiators of the food services market development in Poland have been described. The main areas of its maladjustment to the needs of consumers’ expectations have been identified and the desired directions of the reconstruction of the action model of service providers in order to change this situation have been shown.
