Summary/Abstract: The winning match of the Polish national team against Germany, which took place in October 2014, went down in history as the one where the Poles defeat the Germans for the first time. However, it is worth remembering that such a victory took place much earlier, even before the war, in Upper Silesia. In the 1920s and 1930s, the annual football matches of the Polish- and German-Silesian teams stirred up the spectators’ emotions.
