Parliamentary elections of 1919 in Ialomiţa

Summary/Abstract: An important component in the evolution of interwar Romania was the politics. The introduction of universal suffrage in 1918 boosted the interwar Romanian politics. As in all counties and county political party organizations Ialomiţa activity was intense. At the first election held in the interwar period in Ialomiţa, participated in the campaign three political parties. County elections were won by the Liberal National Party. An interesting fact was the choice of a representative of the Conservative Party - which represent the interests of large landowners - Ialomiţa County deputy in Parliament.
