Summary/Abstract: Palia de la Orăştie or Palia from Orăştie represents an important step in the history of books, as well as in the history of printing. Palia (which comprises only The Genesis and The Exodus) was printed in 1582 by Şerban Coresi. The history of printing mentions this books as being the only one printed in Orăştie in the 16th century as the most important Romanian text of those times.
