Summary/Abstract: The present paper aims at highlighting the important role that Beniamin Densuşianu played in promoting the Romanian education and culture. As a teacher at Preparandia from Haţeg (1853-1857), he wrote two history textbooks that were used in the teaching process. As a priest in Săcărâmb and archpriest in the region of Bobâlna (1860-1875), Beniamin Densuşianu collected data from local archives in order to create a chronicle of the Greek-Catholic church from Săcărâmb. For an even more complete research, he also asked for data from professor Ioan Micu Moldovan from Iaşi, the end result being a completely new and interesting church chronicle.
