Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present from theoretical as well as from empirical perspective the use of kaizen as management concept in Polish enterprises. The article’s goal is to show how Polish enterprises can benefit from kaizen, what is required in order to create a continuous improvement culture in a company in the Polish market, what features Polish employees should possess in order to fully implement continuous improvement culture. The article consists of two parts. The first theoretical part presents kaizen concept, kaizen culture and main differences between traditional and kaizen culture. The second part is entirely empirical and presents responses of survey participants working in enterprises where continuous improvement culture was implemented in full, partially or not at all.
