Summary/Abstract: Proverb says: «Good news travels far.» This may sound as boasting, but our experiences have shown that systematic work on the field of popularization of the work and role of archive is slowly coming to fruition. Great part of mentioned activities are required by law, and are done in every archive. However, adding new activities that have purpose to spread knowledge about archive we improve even those existing. Although the results of this are modest they make us satisfied and motivate us for further work on this area. Pleasant response of some visitors or encauragement for repeated visit are temporary and tangible evidence of successful opening of archive for the public. Working with creators of materials gives permanent benefit. Decades are needed in order to confirm our successful efforts in this field.
