Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the pedagogical activities of archives in Slovenia , with special reference to the work of the Historical Archive of Celje and Maribor Provincial Archive. It is presented a structure of visitors , learning lessons in the archive by the regional and age point of view, the way the school is informed about the possibilities of cooperation with the competent archives, but first of all it is presented a visits program of school groups in the individual archives . The most common forms of cooperation with schools in both archives is a class of general education . Presentation of the archive is always customized for groups with regard to the level of background knowledge they have, like the region they come from. Also, it is important to know what are the possibilities for further development of educational activities in both archives .
