Summary/Abstract: The article addresses the problem of working full-time students. The main aim was to describe the profile of students who decide to take up employment, get to know reasons behind their decision and factors motivating them to get a job. The analysis indicates that students take up employment mainly to become independent financially, they are offered positions that do not require high level of competence, and what motivates them to work has little to do with improving their skills.
