Summary/Abstract: Responsibility for the actions aimed at developing human capital is borne not only by the organization which is using it but also by the unit itself. Since every human activity takes place in time, one of the factors determining the level and quality of human capital is a time budget management, generally understood as its distribution to specific activity. It depends on an individual’s decision what goals he/she wants to pursue, what capital he/she wants to have, what actions therefore he/she will take, and how he/she will use the capital. The aim of the publication is to characterize the role of the time budget management in the development of human capital attributes (in structural terms), i.a. knowledge, skills, qualifications, personality, and creativity of the unit. The basis of the considerations were literature studies and the author’s own research.
