Criminal investigations carried out by the judicial police within the Romanian Border Police – Competences

Summary/Abstract: Judicial police officers from the Romanian Border Police have the capacity of special investigation bodies and carry out criminal enquiries in any type of crime that does not specifically lie within the jurisdiction of other investigation authorities, according to the provisions of Article 24 of the Government Emergency Ordinance No. 104/2001 on the organization and functioning of the Romanian Border Police.
