Summary/Abstract: The main idea of the following paper is to bring to a wider professional community methodology of the map´s preparation for lexical-word-formation series of the international research project Slavic Linguistic Atlas, which has not yet been given more attention. As an example we use the preparation of a separate dialect map Sl 1844° ‘старая женщина’ (‘old woman’), a legends pertaining to it and a commentary for the upcoming volume within aforementioned series of Atlas – Family relationships.
