Świętosława (Swatawa) – Bohemian Queen from the Piast dynasty

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the fate of Polish Duke Casimir I the Restorer and Maria Dobroniega of Kiev’s only daughter - Świętosława of Poland. Lack of available resources caused the paper to hypothetically describe her birth, marriage with the ruler of Bohemian dukedom, inevitable influence on her sons, her role in husband’s country and circumstances of death. Moreover, the paper tries to localize the bride price paid to Świętosława by Vratislaus II of Bohemia.
