Summary/Abstract: The article presents literary controversy Maria Jehanne Wielopolska and Kazimiera Iłłakowiczówna of personality cult Marshal Jozef Pilsudski and its resonance in the contemporary press. In the first part of the article the author presents allegations against Colonel Adam Borkiewicz ‘Path next to the road’ book addressed to the Director of the Central Military Bookshop. The rest of this article presents the source of a fierce conflict of the two women. Another piece involves the reaction of contemporary magazines 'to war on the pen'. In conclusion summarizes the major points raised in the article.
