Summary/Abstract: Termination of employment contract without notice, due to the employee's fault pursuant to the provision of Art. 52 of the Labour Code is possible in three enumerated instances. The most common reasons for termination of employment without notice include severe violation of basic employee duties caused by employee's intoxication, failure or refusal to follow official instructions as well as disorderly conduct in the workplace. This article discusses in an extensive way the jurisprudence of the Supreme Court in this regard.
