Summary/Abstract: The Polish justice system faces an image crisis which translates into a relatively low level of public confidence in its key institutions, including the courts. So the question is what causes this situation. One of the factors influencing this situation can be a way of identity management in institutions of the justice system expressed by coordinated communication. This article aims to determine, on the basis of the results of research conducted among representatives of the justice system, what is their approach to its identity management in the context of the influence of identity communication on the image. The research findings were supplemented with literature studies concerning the issues of identity and image of the organisation. Internet questionnaires were used as the research instrument. The results indicate that the courts, which are institutions that exert the strongest impact on the image of the justice system, paid the greatest attention to visual identification management, while non-visual elements play a minor role in communication of the identity.
