Summary/Abstract: Józef Sebastian Pelczar (1842-1924) był profesorem (1877-1899) i rektorem 1882/83 Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego. W 1899 r. został biskupem pomocniczym, a od 1901 r. biskupem diecezjalnym w Przemyślu. Posługa chorym była ważną częścią jego działalności.//Józef Sebastian Pelczar (1842-1924) was a professor (1877-1899) and the president (1882/83) of the Jagiellonian University. He became an assistant bishop in 1899 and the diocese bishop in Przemyśl in 1901. Ministry to the sick was an important part of his work.
