Households in Bulgaria – Financial Categories and Dependencies

Summary/Abstract: Households play a specific role in the financial system and also have specific features which distinguish them from the state and corporations as economic agents. They are of primary concern in relation to the others, and their financial status directly determines the volume of solvent demand in the national economy and is a general index of its well-being. In connection with this, the presented paper aims to analyze household budgets in the Republic of Bulgaria and to link them to management financial categories and macro indicators with a time horizon of 2007-2011 in order to deduce trends and dependences which have emerged due to the impact of the global financial and economic crisis, and to formulate optimal decisions.
