Summary/Abstract: The publication focuses on formation of A. Platonov’s musical thesaurus in his publicistic writing in Voronezh. The musical contextsof the writer’s early journalism is not studied sufficiently. The researched material includes early articles of A. Platonov: “To theemerging proletarian poets and writers”, “About the art (from the diary)”, “Evening of a Komsozhur”, “Revolution of the spirit”,“Evening of Nekrasov’s poetry at a communistic university”, etc. Concepts “music” and “song” are considered in the context ofa romantic and symbolist esthetics, and also an esthetics of Proletkult. The purpose of the study is to analyze the semantic field ofconcepts “music” and “song”. Study of the article “To the emerging proletarian poets and writers” has shown difficult semantic fillingof the subject of “space music” which goes back both to the antique and proletkult ideas about music, that were considered inA. Lunacharsky’s articles. The research of the article “Evening of a Komsozhur” has allowed us to introduce some earlier unknownsemantic parallels with Verdi’s opera “Troubadour” into scientific use.
