Summary/Abstract: Presently, people in poor areas suffer from a lack of integration. For this reason,it is of major importance for the European Union to promote social inclusion. This work represents a comprehensive presentation of the current situation of poverty and social exclusion in the European Union as a result of attaining the 2020 strategy objectives.
