Summary/Abstract: On the 9th of February 2016, Alexandru Vulpe passed away. He was a remarkable personality of the Romanian archaeology, President of the Department of Historical Sciences and Archaeology within Romanian Academy, director of the “Vasile Pârvan” Institute of Archaeology from Bucharest. Alexandru Vulpe shall be remembered by the people who knew him, as a researcher, extremely dedicated to his carrier of archaeologist and historian, but also as an erudite professor, always close to his students.
