CHARACT’ERISTICS OF ADMINISTRATIVE SPEECH IN ALBANIAN LANGUAGE

Summary/Abstract: This study aims to put into evidence some general linguistic characteristics of the administrative speech in Albanian language, dealing mostly with the concept of the administrative speech as a linguistic variety characterizing the texts with which public administration communicates with citizens, other institutions or with its own staff within public administration. The administrative speech is of great pragmatic force due to the role it has to fulfill and due to different needs of a diversified public. Further in the study it is considered a more specialized linguistic character of the administrative speech, like lexicon, syntax and style. In generai, the lexicon of the administrative speech is very complex and very technical, due to its interaction with other specialized speeches, especially in the field of law. For this purpose, many European countries have responded to this issue with various initiatives dealing with the simplification of the administrative speech. These initiatives have produced codes or manuals which guide the intervention into two levels: Linguistic forms: lexicon and syntax. Content: logical structure of the content, with a particular attention to the way in which information is transmitted.
